Jeannie Davis Obituary, Death – Jeannie “Ginger” P. (Joslyn) Davis, aged 44, a resident of Alstead, formerly of Marlow and Newport, passed away unexpectedly following injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. She was born to her mother, Karen E. Wescott, on January 24, 1979, in Keene. Jeannie received her education locally, graduating from Thayer High School in Winchester as part of the class of 1998.
On October 3, 2020, Jeannie exchanged vows with her beloved, Rob E. Davis II, in a simple ceremony attended by close family and friends at the Keene State Pavilion.
Jeannie devoted a significant part of her life to her career. She worked as an assistant manager at Dunkin Donuts in Keene for ten years and, prior to that, she served as a Licensed Nursing Assistant at Home Hospice and Community Services of Keene for eight years. Her compassionate care extended to Keene Center Genesis of Keene, where she worked for six years as a Licensed Nursing Assistant.
Jeannie was a passionate sports enthusiast who relished watching the Boston Bruins, excelling in softball, and serving as a pitcher in the Keene Women’s League. Her creative side shone through her love for arts and crafts, and she adored her dogs and animals of all kinds. Additionally, she found joy in mowing her lawn and attending dance classes at Everglow Wellness Center. Jeannie’s zest for life was truly remarkable.
Jeannie is survived by her husband, Rob Davis II of Alstead, her daughter Makayla J. Veith, her two stepchildren, Kylee Davis, and Jacob Davis, all residents of Alstead. She is also survived by her mother Karen Wescott and her husband, Ray Rawling of Keene, as well as her paternal father, Robert Hopkins Jr. of Swanzey. Her siblings, Jennifer H. Joslyn, and her significant other, Ryan Madden of Keene, Robert F. Joslyn of S.C., and Courtney Hopkins of Keene, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends, mourn her loss.
Calling hours to pay respects to Jeannie will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel, 44 Maple Ave, Keene, NH 03431. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the memorial fund for Makayla at the Savings Bank of Walpole.
