Bushwhacker Butch, who was also known as Butch Miller, was born in Auckland, New Zealand, on 21 October 1944.
Butch was passionate about wrestling from an early age. His professional fighting career began in 1964. He fought for NWA New Zealand and achieved insane regional success.
Shortly after, he traveled to the United States in the late eighties.
The former professional wrestler was most known for his time with the tag team, the Sheepherders in Mid-South Wrestling, Championship Wrestling of Florida, and other promotions, as well as the Bushwhackers in WWE.
In 1965, he and Bushwhacker Luke (Brian Wickens) formed a team.
They would fight and win gold medals for many organizations worldwide, including the Continental Wrestling Association in Memphis, All Japan Pro Wrestling, various NWA areas, Stampede Wrestling, the World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and others.
The pair entered WWE as the Bushwhackers in late 1988, turning their careers around after years of toiling as brutal foreign heels with one deadly brawl after another.
The Bushwhackers competed for WWE until 1996 before switching to the independents, eventually severing ties in 2001, the same year Miller announced his retirement.
